Vanilla Chai Old Fashioned

Ingredients

2.5 Ounces Four Roses Bourbon
.5 Ounces Luxardo
1 Ounce Vanilla Chai Simple Syrup*
2 Dashes Orange Bitters
2 Dashes Black Walnut Bitters

Directions

Combine all ingredients into a crystal mixing glass with ice and stir for 6-8 seconds
Place a large (approximately 2.5”) ice cube into a rocks glass
Using a peeler, carefully peel a 2”x 1” peel off of an orange, avoiding the pith.
Use the orange peel to rim the glass and place on top of ice cube.
Strain the ingredients into the rocks glass over the orange peel and cube.
Garnish with Star Anise and Cinnamon Stick

Vanilla Chai Simple Syrup

Ingredients

4 Ounces Water
4 Chai Tea Bags (if using loose tea, .5 ounces or 12 grams)
2.5 Ounces Maple Syrup
1 Vanilla Bean (Split)

Directions

Combine ingredients in a saucepan.
Bring to a simmer until the ingredients are combined.
Steep for 15 minutes.
Strain mixture.
Chill before using.
