On the heels of the popular Straight to Art at Sea weekly pop-up art exhibitions over the summer, Timbers Kiawah – Ocean Club & Residences is excited to host a holiday edition of the concept to allow Owners the opportunity to browse local art in anticipation of holiday gifting.

“I’m excited to come back to Timbers Kiawah and have the Owners meet our artists in person,” said Hayley Price, owner of Straight to Art. “It’s been a while since the summer, and we’re looking forward to providing some great holiday gift ideas and potentially introduce them to local artists they can bring home with them.”

On Monday, November 25, from 5 to 7 p.m., the holiday pop-up gallery at the Timbers Kiawah Clubhouse will feature Lowcountry artists Kat Cumberledge, Kim Painter and Suzanne Leonard of Blue Moon Art. According to Price, all of the artists intend to bring smaller items that would make for great gifts, as well as their distinctive pieces. Plus, Owners will enjoy wine and light bites and the opportunity to engage with the South Carolina artists.

“We’ve added—almost doubled—the amount of artists we work with. Expect to see a lot of new pieces and a fresh collection of artwork,” said Price.

Straight to Art, started as a Charleston-based online gallery, now has a new home in West Ashley. Price said she should have the space fully open by mid-November for drop-ins and visits, and she’s currently accepting visitors by appointment. Price hopes to have a holiday pop-up at the gallery, as well.
