Thanksgiving Traditions at Timbers Kiawah

The day kicks off with a fun 5k run, walk, or ride along the beach—a Turkey Trot that brings Owners together and kicks off the holiday on an energetic note!

Following the invigorating Trot, everyone gathers at the beach club for a post-race mingle. Sporting whimsical “Turkey Name Tags,” assigned based on the birth month and the first letter of one’s name, Owners share laughter and stories. With names like “Tender Cornucopia,” It’s a lighthearted touch that adds a personalized flair to the occasion. 

The festivities continue with an array of activities, ensuring there’s something for everyone. Turkey Bingo adds a touch of competition and excitement, while cookie decorating and pool time provide moments of leisure and creativity, taking full advantage of Kiawah’s typically beautiful weather – even in late November. 

As the day progresses, Owners transition seamlessly into the culinary highlights, as the team at Timbers Kiawah coordinates with local chefs from Cru Catering and Mercantile and Mash to prepare a delicious Thanksgiving meal. The chefs’ creations are delivered to Owners, eliminating the stress of cooking and allowing them to focus on enjoying the day with loved ones.

To add a touch of culinary inspiration, Teddy also leads a cooking demo, sharing ideas to spice up the traditional holiday meal, complemented by special wine offerings. 

The day’s warmth extends into the evening with a cozy gathering around the firepit, where Owners and their loved ones enjoy s’mores.
