No, the Town of Kiawah Island ordinance does not permit timeshare properties on the island.  Ownership at Timbers Kiawah is purchased as a fractional deeded real estate interest. The real estate can be financed, willed, placed in a trust, or owned by a designated legal entity.

How many residences are there at Timbers Kiawah?
Timbers Kiawah consists of 21 fully furnished, turnkey oceanfront residences across three buildings: eighteen three-bedroom residences at approximately 2,750 square feet and three four-bedroom Penthouse residences at 5,400 square feet. Yes, there are a limited number of Kiawah Island Club memberships available with purchase at Timbers Kiawah. In addition, current Kiawah Island Club members may transfer their existing membership to their Timbers Kiawah ownership.

Do Owners pay annual assessments?
Yes, annual assessments include taxes, insurance, utilities, maintenance, management and the like.  A portion of annual dues also goes toward a capital reserve fund for future repair and replacement needs.
